This is Leo, almost a year ago he appeared late at night and in the middle of a heavy thunderstorm on our doorstep crying at the top of his lungs. His fur was matted and he was thin, we brought him inside, dried him off and gave him some food and water. We didn’t know where he came from but we couldn’t just let him sit outside and cry all night. We already had 2 indoor cats and feed neighborhood strays. We waited 2 weeks before getting him neutered due to no one posting any missing posts for him. We wanted to keep him because he’s such a sweetheart to us but he’s a troublemaker when it comes to our cats we already had!
So it’s with a heavy heart we are rehoming him due to a few reasons;
• He bullies our other cats, especially our docile female. We thought getting him neutered and let him adjust would help but it hasn’t.
• He overeats due to his history of either being abandoned or missing before he came to us.
• Due to the economy we can’t keep feeding him whilst he makes our resident cats life miserable. It’s not fair to our cat we already had.
About Leo:
• He’s extremely sweet! He loves to jump in your lap, groom you, and snuggle under your chin while purring so loud!
• He has matted fur in some spots - we shaved what we could before the razor stopped working. He’s also been undergoing treatment for ringworm, which we can give the rest of the bottle to you. He’s okay with baths.
• Due to his bullying of our other cats we ask that he is placed into a single cat household - where he is the only cat. He does enjoy playing with the other cats but unfortunately takes it too far and doesn’t pick up on the cues of the other cats when they want him to stop, but he also loves playing with toys especially when you play with him.
• He loves treats, wet food and he’s very smart and I’m sure you can teach him a few tricks!
• He’s around 2 years old, neutered and had his yearly rabies vaccine when he was neutered.
• We think he may be part Maine coon due to his snout but only a dna test would be able to fully prove it.
